Life Organizing Endowments

I break the categories of my life out into 3 Endowments.  Within those 3 endowments I segment my goals into categories, in which I work to ensure balanced priorities, and continued growth, across all areas of my life.

The 3 Endowments are…

  1. Personal (Body, Mind, Soul and Ego)
  2. Social (People and Relationships)
  3. Lifestyle (Environment and Contribution to Society)

Personal Endowments

Personal endowments are areas in your life that are very specific to you as an individual.  It is specific to the things in life that you do that only impact you in your mind, body and soul.

It is important to know, that neglecting too much in this area will completely stunt your growth in all areas of the other 2 endowments.

  • Fitness and Body – Living an athletic lifestyle, with daily movement, and physical fitness that allows me agility, flexibility, and strength that contribute to longevity and optimal health.
  • Nutrition – Eating foods that align with my values and provide the highest level of nutrition customized for my body and my life goals.
  • Health and Hygiene – Nurturing my health through self care, and recovery practices.
  • Cosmetic Image – Confident self expression exercised through my presentation by using my personal self as a canvas of everyday expression.
  • Material Image – Decorating my self and establishing the presence I choose to have, with garments and embellishments that make me feel good.
  • Spiritual State – Constant growth and connection, with a higher power, to continue expanding knowledge of my purpose as a human being on this earth.
  • Knowledge Expansion – Continued expansion of knowledge in all areas of life to ensure balanced understanding and learning, that allow me to change my paradigms, let go of biased opinions, decrease judgment, and allow me to continue to seek out ways in which I can better add value to society when contributing back.

Social Endowments

The social endowments include a breakdown of the many types of relationships we have in our lives, and understanding the importance and balance in having all.

Our relationships help define and build the 3rd endowment, Lifestyle.  Who we surround ourselves with and how we treat others ultimately impacts the lifestyle we end up with.

  • Second Life Phase Relationships – Relationships that are immediate and most important in our adult lives (Generally the people we currently live with)
    • Romantic Interests
    • Children
  • First Life Phase Relationships – Relationships with our immediate family who we grew up with but don’t necessarily live with anymore.
    • Parents
    • Siblings
  • Tribal Relationships – Friendships with people who carry the same values and interests that we have, who push us to grow, and who represent where we want to be in our own lives.
  • Professional Relationships – Healthy relationships with people you work with on a professional level who you provide value to and who provide value back to you.
  • Mentors – Individuals you seek out that you admire qualities in that you strive to establish for yourself.

Lifestyle Endowments

Lifestyle endowments, are the environment we create around ourselves, the things we do, the experiences we strive for and achieve, the things we stand for, and the way we give back to society.

  • Home – Your environment and the way it is kept, decorated, and functional,  ultimately impacting the way you treat yourself and feel.
  • Transportation – Transportation is a part of your life and helps define who you are.  Do you bike, do you drive, do you walk, do you bus? What type of transportation is ideal and what are you doing to achieve it?
  • Career (i.e. Corporate, Job) – What are the goals you have in your current career or job?
  • Financial Management – Where does your money come from and where does it go? (Money Mindset, Income, Investments, Savings, Etc.)
    • MONEY MINDSET – What are you doing to ensure your mind is in the right state and your knowledge continues to grow in relation to generating, organizing, and distributing the energy source we call money.
    • INCOME
      • Primary Income – If you have a normal job where you work for someone or for a company or corporation where you get paid for your time, this would generally count as your Primary Income.  It’s maybe not necessarily a job or career that aligns with your core values but it does provide an income stream that you could apply towards your dreams and passions.  Maintaining this income stream is certainly dependent on your success, so while you continue to receive a Primary Income from an external party it is important to set goals within that career that ensure you provide the greatest value to that person or company, earning the money that is being invested in you.
      • Scalable Income – Businesses you create that don’t exchange hours for money. Takes work and manpower but can grow and eventually make money while you sleep.
      • Investment Income – Money you give to others that may make you money back in the long term.
    • MONEY DISTRIBUTION
      • Living Expenses
      • Investments
      • Savings
      • Giving
  • Contribution – What value you give to community, society and the world.
  • Artistic Expression – Creative expression and passion in any aspect of our life.
